Business Title: VP Procurement, Supplier Performance
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP, Procurement - Supplier Performance (SRM) to build and manage our contracting team, vendor management team, drive supplier risk mitigation strategies, ensure alignment between the Procurement function and the business, and support broader business objectives. This role is critical in ensuring the successful adoption of best practices across the organization, partnering closely with business units, and leading our centralized Vendor Management Office (VMO) to optimize supplier relationships and performance.
Expected Contributions
Contracting Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of contracting professionals, ensuring efficient workflows and alignment with business objectives.
Oversee the effective utilization and optimization of CLM tools to streamline contract management processes.
Drive continuous improvement in contracting practices and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Supplier Risk Management Leadership:
Develop and implement robust supplier risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Monitor supplier performance and compliance, identifying and addressing potential risks proactively.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to evaluate supplier performance.
Business Partnering Leadership:
Act as a strategic partner to internal business units, aligning supplier management strategies with organizational goals.
Ensure strategic sourcing activities and outcomes are align with business objectives through driving implementation of strategic supplier programs for the business.
Support business units in navigating supplier challenges and resolving disputes.
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on supplier management and contracting best practices.
Vendor Management Office Leadership:
Establish and lead a Vendor Management Office to centralize supplier performance oversight and governance.
Develop policies, processes, and tools to enhance supplier relationships and ensure value delivery.
Facilitate regular performance reviews with key suppliers (QBRs), driving accountability and continuous improvement with our suppliers.
Change Management and Adoption:
Lead initiatives to ensure successful adoption of supplier performance and contract management tools and processes across the business.
Communicate and drive change management strategies to foster a culture of excellence in supplier management.
Monitor adoption rates and address barriers to ensure effective integration of new processes and tools.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or contracting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and supplier risk management frameworks.
Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to implement change management initiatives and drive process improvements.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in leading a Vendor Management Office or similar centralized supplier performance function.
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) or contract management (e.g., CPCM).
Familiarity with supplier risk management tools and techniques
