This position is with Interval International, Inc., an operating business of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation (“MVW” or “the Company”).

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Customer Strategy, Technology, and Marketing Operations, the Director, Marketing Technology and Operations manages marketing technology and operations plans to help meet Interval’s business growth goals. Management of marketing technology platform working in partnership with Information Technology (IT), the MVW Digital Products COE team, and Marketing Activation. In addition, the Director manages development and execution of marketing operations including development of new operating models, e.g., processes, tools, metrics, etc., to increase marketing functional effectiveness and performance.

Expected Contributions

  • Manages marketing technology, digital platforms, and asset management including determination of technology requirements, tool evaluations, system and process automation and optimization. Adapts new techniques and emerging technologies to support strategy execution, positioning Interval as leader in innovation, driving business strategies and stronger, more efficient executions.
  • Manages the innovation agenda and processes creating ongoing opportunities to inspire new thinking and implementing test and learn plans to scale new technology and marketing advances.
  • Manages external marketing agency and vendor ecosystem management relationships and internal partnerships with MVW’s Brand and Digital Centers of Expertise (COEs).
  • Identifies marketing campaign Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and tracks data, analytics to measure campaign success and impacts on collaboration with Customer Strategy and Marketing Operations team.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to apply consistent data-driven marketing measures and optimization along the customer experience journey.
  • Manages team to translate data insights into marketing strategy recommendations, enhancing personalization of content and user experience, conversion of leads though automated journeys, enhancements of personas, and identifying and helping to remove barriers to conversion.
  • Manages development of Marketing organization processes that both simplify and accelerate the work of the marketing organization and increases speed to market. Develops and manages workflows and processes across teams and channels to ensure operational efficiencies and activities alignment. Develops and manages detailed development and deployment schedules, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Plans for resources required to achievement of functional goals in collaboration with cross-functional leaders to manage resources in an efficient manner.
  • Orchestrates marketing teams to adapt to changing circumstances to collaborate effectively and efficiently push work across the finish line.
  • Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
  • Develops operating plans and workable business processes for own department in alignment with function strategy.
  • Manages larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress, and results.  Typically influences work of cross-functional to extended team.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience managing a company’s marketing technology and operations.
  • At least 3 years managing team.
  • Experience in Hotel Management, Vacation Ownership, Hospitality preferred.
  • Experience in a matrixed structured organization preferred.

  • Understands how to manage in a culturally diverse work environment.
  • Experience with Qualtrics, Business Objects or similar, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Campaign preferred.
  • Computer literacy on Microsoft Office products, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
