Expected Contributions

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data.
  • Preparing bills receivable, invoices, and bank deposits.
  • Process Bonvoy monthly loyalty program reward redemptions receivables activities.  Follow up with sites and Bonvoy dept on unpaid items as needed.
  • Apply daily ACH payments from Expedia and follow up on unpaid items as needed.
  • Collection of deposits and folio preparation to facilitate large group reservations.
  • Review monthly aging reports and provide detailed explanations/backup for any receivables over 60 days old.
  • Application of credit card payments in PSAR (PeopleSoft A/R).
  • Perform monthly credit card, City Ledger and Guest Ledger reconciliations
  • Research and process credit card refunds to customers upon request of front desk teams.
  • Apply payments and submit monthly vouchers for Marketing and Sales activities.
  • Ensures account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform special projects as needed.

  • Ensures receivables balances are documented accurately.

  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Monitors systems to ensure accuracy of data (e.g., A/R) and support the achievement of billing and collection goals.
  • Supports a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and efficiencies and manage business risks

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provides information to supervisor, managers, co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Candidate Profile Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree in accounting or a minimum four-year accounting experience and a minimum of two years previous accounts receivable experience.
  • Timeshare experience a plus.

  • Accounting Knowledge - Knowledge of general accounting principles and current company accounting policies and procedures. This includes general accounting and financial reporting, auditing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Auditing Skills - The ability to perform auditing procedures, including the ability to recognize, research, and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including knowledge of subledger reconciliation and controls.
